The combination of the fact that this is the first Indian Ocean race together with the massive challenge that this poses to be, it will undoubtedly capture the public interest. Together with the benefits of supporting charities, there are opportunities for regional, national and multinational brand marketing by being involved with the smaller events being planned, as well as the final goal itself...the race in 2009.
