Bupa Great South Run
On Friday 24th Phil was the guest speaker at a Stroke Association meeting at the Bexhill Hospital. Having been invited along to give a talk about the challenge Phil chatted to the group of 30 stroke survivors for around 45 minutes.
Impressed and equally excited about the prospects of rowing across an ocean the group were keen to ask a number of questions. They were also keen to know why we have chosen to represent the stroke Association and after hearing our reasoning thanked Phil for his efforts and wished the team the best of luck with their challenge not only to row across but also to get to the start line in the first place.
Before leaving Phil had a picture with a few from the group and also was asked to return to the group upon successful completion of the challenge.
