Now proud owners of our own Ocean Rowing Boat
On Fri 29th of Nov we managed to secure the previously named "Silver Cloud". She is now named "The Bexhill Trust Challenger". It is the same boat that safely saw two ocean rowers across the Atlantic Ocean in the Atlantic Rowing Race 2007. It is a proven design used many times in ocean rowing, and is intended to be self righting in the event that it does capsize.
The boat has two rowing positions located in the central cockpit area, a small cabin in the stern provides shelter for sleeping and electrical/navigation equipment, and there is a watertight storage area in the bow of the boat. Other storage for food, water ballast etc is found in compartments under the deck.
